Privacy notice

Who we are
Woodside House, Arbroath, Angus DD11 3RB, is a privately owned holiday house. In this notice, “we” means its owner, who is responsible for the personal data described here. You can reach us at Nandor.Marczin@nhs.net.
What we collect, and why
When you send a question through the form, we receive your name, your email address, the topic you chose and your message. We use them only to answer you, and to help with any stay that follows. We rely on our legitimate interest in replying to people who write to us, and on taking the steps you ask for before a possible booking.
When you email us directly, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include, and use it in the same way.
The “Ask the house” chat gives answers prepared in advance and runs entirely in your browser. What you type there is not sent to us or stored.
Bookings are made with Sykes Cottages, Vrbo, Booking.com or Hotels.com. Their own privacy notices cover what you give them. They pass us the details we need to host your stay.
We never sell your details, and we do not use them for marketing.
Who else handles it
- Lovable hosts this website and delivers the emails the form sends us. Like any web host, it keeps standard server records, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, to run and protect the site.
- Our email provider stores the messages we receive and send.
- To show the page, your browser also fetches fonts from Google Fonts, map software from cdnjs (Cloudflare) and map tiles from OpenStreetMap. Each of them sees your IP address when it does.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they use the safeguards UK law requires, such as the UK’s standard contractual clauses.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies and uses no advertising or tracking tools. It remembers, for the length of your visit only, that you have already seen the opening screen, so it is not shown again. That note stays in your browser and is cleared when you close the tab.
How long we keep it
We keep your messages for as long as we need to answer them and to look after any stay that follows, and we delete them within twelve months of our last exchange.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, or stop or limit how we use it. Write to Nandor.Marczin@nhs.net and we will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle your data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
